Welcome to Empire Bowls Club

(Car park access is now via Parkhill Road, which is entered at the side of 25 Knockhall Road. Then turn right into Norton Lane

A BRIEF HISTORY:

Our bowls club originally began as the lawn bowls section of the Empire Paper Mill social club in 1910.

OUR CLUB:

The outdoor playing season is April to September. Friendly matches are arranged with other clubs during weekdays and at weekends and a practice session is normally held on Monday afternoons.

We believe that our bowling green is one of the best in Kent (probably).

MEMBERSHIP:

We are a mixed club with no restrictions on age, ethnicity or ability.

NEW MEMBERS:

Enquiries are welcome from both experienced players and novices of all ages and ethnicities. Coaching sessions are available for new and experienced bowlers.

We are extremely proud of our long club history and the warm supportive atmosphere you can expect from our members.

VISITORS:

You are always welcome to come along and have a chat with us or just simply enjoy the experience as a spectator.
